Two measurements: straight across the top of the head between the ears (not counting ears or fluff), and around the neck just below the ears. Check both against the size guide. Sizes run S, M and L — if your dog is between sizes, size up.

Most do, because it is shaped for a dog rather than being a shrunken human hat. Introduce it indoors with treats for a few minutes first. If your dog decides it is not for them, send it back inside 30 days.

No. It gets tried on XL bullies because that is what we raise, but sizing covers terriers through mastiffs. A good shape flatters any dog.

Ears pull through the straps on each side, the chinstrap fastens under the chin with about two fingers of space, and side toggles slide up to lock it in. The ear straps adjust up, down, forward and back so nothing presses on the ears.

Spot clean with cool water and mild soap, then air dry on something hat-shaped. Do not machine wash or tumble dry — that is how a structured hat loses its front panel.
